You know populism is having a good week when the White House Correspondents’ Dinner isn’t the most self-discrediting elitist spectacle of the past seven days.
That came on Wednesday, when COVID pope Anthony Fauci was hauled before a Senate committee to explain why some of his public statements during the pandemic didn’t jibe with the thoughts he recorded in the private diary he was keeping at the time.
