Raiders Bolster Defensive Line With Veteran DT

The Las Vegas Raiders are adding to their defensive line after allowing over 150 rushing yards in the 27-14 preseason loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN , the Raiders are signing veteran defensive tackle Foley Fatukasi after he had spent the past two years with the Houston Texans.
Fatukasi, 31, adds a ton of experience to the Raiders defensive line after appearing in 90 career games with 64 starts. During the last two seasons in Houston, he recorded 32 tackles and 2.5 sacks while battling a shoulder injury that cut his 2025 campaign short.
However, other than that injury, Fatukasi has stayed relatively healthy throughout his NFL career, which he began as a sixth-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the New York Jets.
Fatukasi spent the first four years of his career in New York, recording 115 tackles, three sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and three passes defensed.
He then joined the Jacksonville Jaguars on a three-year, $30 million contract in free agency. He racked up another 48 tackles, 1.5 sacks and four passes defensed before being released ahead of the 2024 season.
A native of Far Rockaway, New York, Fatukasi played college football at UConn, where he had 170 tackles, 14 sacks and two forced fumbles from 2014-17. He also earned an honorable mention on the 2015 All-American Athletic Conference football team.
