France orders internet providers to block access to Polymarket prediction site

France's main gambling sector regulator said on Friday it had instructed the country's internet service providers to block access to the Polymarket website, one of a number of online prediction markets that allow people to bet on the outcome of future events. The move aims to enforce an existing ban on financial transactions to the site.
