Amber-lit and extravagantly appointed in gold, silver, crystal, lacquer, etched brass and embossed leather, the two-story space pays homage to an actual ambassador, the maternal grandfather of the sibling owners, Jyotin, Karam and Sunaina Sethi. Beneath the gleaming surfaces, the food, too, is the real thing: rich and vivid, drawing on the traditions of undivided, pre-Partition Punjab.
