The Philadelphia Eagles suffered their second consecutive loss on Sunday, blowing a fourth-quarter lead at home against the Los Angeles Rams.
The Eagles took a 20-10 lead into the halftime break at Lincoln Financial Field, but failed to score a single point in the second half as the Rams battled back to notch a 20-24 final score.
Philadelphia went for a touchdown on 4th-and-goal in the fourth quarter with a chance to put the game away. Jalen Hurts and the offense failed to convert, just as they did on each of their 12 3rd-down attempts throughout the Week 4 contest.
During Tuesday morning's episode of "First Take" on ESPN, Stephen A. Smith sounded the alarm on Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni.
"Nick Sirianni's in a world of trouble, and he should be" Smith said. "I'm not calling for the man to be fired. I like Nick Sirianni. But at some point in time, when these complaints about you are repetitive, we need to be concerned. When you're the head coach and you don't know what the identity of the team is, that's a problem."
The Eagles opened up their season with back-to-back wins over the Washington Commanders and Tennessee Titans, before falling in consecutive games against the Chicago Bears and Rams.
This coming Sunday, Philadelphia will look to get back on track in an international matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.
