MLB Announces Host of 2028 All-Star Week

In addition to the All-Star Game, the Giants will host the Home Run Derby, the Futures Game and the MLB Draft in San Francisco.
“With its passionate fanbase, world-class ballpark, and rich baseball history, San Francisco will be an outstanding host for All-Star Week, which culminates in one of Major League Baseball’s best traditions, the Midsummer Classic,” MLB commissioner Rob Manfred said in a statement. “We look forward to bringing the excitement of All-Star Week and the celebration of baseball to the Bay Area.”
This will be the fourth time in MLB history the Giants have hosted All-Star Week. The previous three times were in 1961, 1984 and 2007. The first two All-Star Weeks hosted by the Giants took place at Candlestick Park.

Ichiro Suzuki won the 2007 All-Star Most Valuable Player Award at Oracle Park after hitting the first inside-the-park home run in MLB All-Star Game history. Vladimir Guerrero Sr. won the Home Run Derby that year.
