Suncor v. Boulder is an appeal of a Colorado Supreme Court decision that allowed claims of climate damages brought by the city and county against oil companies to proceed. The Trump administration has joined the energy companies, which argue that federal law preempts state-level cases on the issue.
President Trump will head to Grand Island, Neb. , Monday for the latest stop in his red state campaign swing as he pushes for Republicans to maintain both chambers of Congress. In the past week, he’s stumped in Texas, Oklahoma , Alabama and Ohio . He’ll return to Texas and Alabama this week , too.
Vice President Vance will try to boost the reelection chances of Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska) at a rally in Anchorage, Alaska , a rare high-level campaign stop in the state. Sullivan is in a tight reelection contest with former Rep. Mary Peltola (D-Alaska).
