Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and National Institutes of Health Director Dr. Jay Bhattacharya joined him in the Oval Office.
Earlier Monday, Trump swore in Todd Blanche as the next attorney general, following weeks of controversy that ended in the Senate early Saturday morning with a 50-49 vote to confirm the appointment .
On the Iran conflict, Trump said Sunday that it is now “like a chess game” and that the U.S. is only partially negotiating with Tehran. But the depleted stockpiles of American munitions are also limiting Trump’s options .
Republicans in North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District will discuss a replacement for Rep. Chuck Edwards (R-N.C.) in this fall’s general election. He decided last week to not run for reelection amid a House Ethics investigation.
