Browns React to Jared Verse's NFL Top 100 Ranking

The Cleveland Browns acquired two-time Pro-Bowl linebacker Jared Verse and multiple future draft picks in a blockbuster trade that sent reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams earlier this offseason.
On Wednesday, Verse was announced as the No. 35 ranked player on the 2026 NFL Top 100 list — as voted on by the league's active players.
Verse improved on his Defensive Rookie of the Year numbers with another impressive season in 2025, recording 7.5 sacks, 11 tackles for loss and 27 QB hits.
The Browns reacted to Verse's ranking with a couple posts on social media.
"Guys that are wired like him it doesn't take long for guys to listen, because they're all about work," Browns head coach Todd Monken said of Verse, via the team's official website. "But guys who come and work and are serious about their job, who developed themselves from Albany to Florida State to Defensive Rookie of the Year, then Pro Bowl — that's impressive.
"He has skill, but he's a self-made player, man. He's a relentless guy. So, it's pretty easy, the way he carries himself, for guys to listen."
The Browns will begin their 2026 regular-season schedule with a Week 1 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sept. 13.
