Virginia State University Shooting Leaves Multiple Injured

Law enforcement responded to a report of a shooting at 1:30 a.m. at the 3300 block of Boisseau Street. Police found five people suffering from gunshot wounds outside the university dorms.
University officials said on Saturday that the five injured people had been transported to hospitals in the local area. One individual is in critical condition, and the other four obtained non-life threatening injuries.
The university said that the shooting involved "multiple suspects."
The campus was on lockdown, but this has now been lifted. University officials noted that "a significant law enforcement presence remains on campus as the investigation into this morning's shooting continues."
