Darline Graham (S.C.) one last boost before the special GOP primary runoff Tuesday.
Graham, a political newcomer who replaced her late brother, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), is going up against Rep. Ralph Norman (R-S.C.) for the opportunity to snag the Republican seat in the Palmetto State.
Darline Graham’s inexperience showed on the debate stage Tuesday when she was unable to answer a national security question, raising uncertainty about her ability to serve in the Senate.
Vice President Vance travels Friday to his Ohio hometown, Middletown, for an economic speech. On Thursday night, he tried to offer reassurance that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s plan to shrink the nation’s debt and shore up the bond market is on track.
“So, even though the debt is too high, even though we inherited this debt bomb from the Biden administration, we actually do have a plan to get the economy growing faster than the debt and that’s the most important thing,” the vice president said.
The Supreme Court could weigh in Friday on an appeals court ruling that aims to halt construction of the White House ballroom.
The president is also pushing his relationship with North Korea’s Kim Jong Un, repeatedly calling for a meeting with the leader and reducing joint military exercises with South Korea. Experts are warning ties to North Korea and reductions in joint military exercises with its neighbors may jeopardize the American relationship with South Korea.
IndyCar will take over the District of Columbia this weekend, with the Freedom 250 race Saturday and Sunday. It may cause a “little bit of carnage,” the IndyCar chief said.
