A person was shot during an incident reportedly involving U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in the Bronx on Thursday afternoon, according to information provided to Fox News Digital.
The shooting occurred around 4 p.m. in the Marble Hill neighborhood of the Bronx, the New York Police Department (NYPD) said in a post on X.
The person who was shot was taken to a nearby hospital, where they were conscious and receiving medical attention, according to the NYPD.
The person's identity and the extent of their injuries were not immediately known.

The NYPD said its officers were not involved in the shooting and were not at the scene when it occurred.
An NYPD spokesperson told Fox News Digital that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is investigating the incident and directed additional questions to federal authorities.
Representatives for ICE and DHS did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's requests for comment.
