Raiders Sign Former Commanders 4th Round Pick

The Las Vegas Raiders announced on Wednesday that they are signing former Washington Commanders offensive lineman Braeden Daniels.
Despite having only been in the league for three seasons, Daniels already now been on seven different teams, including his most recent destination, the Miami Dolphins.
Fourth round picks often turn into handy backups, and sometimes bridge to mid-range starters. The 25-year old, however, has had a rather less straightforward first few years in pro football. The Utah product got off to a tough start start when he missed his entire rookie season due to a torn rotator cuff back in August 2023.
Daniels was released by the team during final cuts a year later, and ever since has bounced around from practice squad to practice squad trying to find a place where he can carve out a role for himself.
Perhaps the Raiders can be that place. With rookie third round pick Trey Zuhn III having a go at right tackle; something that may well me more than a bit needed given the Raiders' immense thinness at tackle in general behind starters Kolton Miller and D.J. Glaze, there may be a backup spot with Daniels' name on it on the interior.
Daniels will battle it out with Jordan Meredith second-year third round pick Caleb Rogers for a spot on the interior. But it looks like his primary competition could be former Patriots fifth round pick Antonio Mafi, who signed with the Raiders back in July 2025 and currently occupies the second-string left guard position on the depth chart.
