Russian strike on Kyiv book market: 'An attempt to annihilate Ukrainian identity'

A central book market in Kyiv was hit by a Russian strike on Sunday. FRANCE 24’s correspondent in Ukraine, Emmanuelle Chaze, describes the strikes as an attack on "Ukrainian culture, the Ukrainian language and Ukrainian identity.” She says that “since the beginning of the summer, Russia has already destroyed millions of books” in strikes, while churches and other key cultural sites have also been targeted in what she describes as an attempt to weaken Ukrainian identity.
