Comedian Jimmy Kimmel mocked President Donald Trump ahead of the naming of the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo later today, an award that the president has long coveted, saying that he would cry "like a newborn baby."
During his Thursday night monologue on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Kimmel opened his show saying, “We are coming to you from Hollywood, the most self-congratulatory city in the world.”
“We give ourselves awards almost all year long here,” he added. “But none of them, not the Oscar, not the Peabody, not even the coveted people’s choice, compares to the award being handed out in Oslo tomorrow.”
Turning his attention to the Nobel Peace Prize, he said that it would be handed out “just hours" from now.
“And that means it is that magical time of the year when our president, Donald J.D. Bug Trump, cries like a newborn baby, even though he doesn’t care about the Nobel Prize at all,” Kimmel said.
This is a developing story. More to follow.
