Erling Haaland Spotted with Jennifer Lopez After Norway's World Cup Exit

Norway and Manchester City star striker Erling Haaland became the internet's boyfriend at the 2026 FIFA men's World Cup over the past month.
Norway appeared in the men's World Cup for the first time since 1998 and, behind captain Martin Odegaard and Haaland's seven goals, won their first-ever knockout stage match over Ivory Coast, then upset Brazil to reach the quarterfinal for the first time in history.
England defeated Norway in extra time in the quarterfinal last Saturday. While Haaland was sad his debut World Cup had ended, he maintained his usual cool attitude.
"After being in the quarterfinals with Norway and going straight to holiday, it's quite nice," Haaland said in his final World Cup presser. "I'm quite happy with my life. I'm enjoying it. I'm in a good place. It's kind of difficult to take in this kind of a show or a roller coaster we've been in now for the past six weeks because it's so much. It's been so much impressions. It's been so much feelings. Again, I think this changes Norway. I think it changes me."
Haaland added, "I don't really know what to say anymore because I think I've spoken so much down here in the U.S., and I'm getting a bit fed up of it, so now it's time to [go on] holiday."
A man of his word, Haaland is in Sicily, Italy, but people are still watching his every move.
A photo is circulating on X showing Haaland with Jennifer Lopez . The validity of the photo has not been verified by Haaland or Lopez, but Lopez posted an Instagram carousel in the same outfit on Tuesday, July 14.

Haaland has a few weeks to relax before Manchester City starts preseason friendlies on Aug. 1. Man City's 2026-27 Premier League season will officially open against AFC Bournemouth on Sunday, August 23. Haaland is the reigning Premier League Golden Boot winner — his third in the past four years — but Manchester City finished second to Arsenal. Manchester City won four straight Premier League titles from 2020 to 2024.
Haaland joined the club, where his father also played , in June 2022 and signed a nine-plus-year contract extension in January 2025.
