The Las Vegas Raiders are believed to have one of the more underwhelming wide receiver rooms in the NFL , so they've decided to add to it before the start of the 2026 season.
According to NFL insider Adam Schefter of ESPN , the Raiders are signing veteran wide receiver Noah Brown and releasing defensive tackle Benito Jones in a corresponding move.
Brown, 30, has spent the last two seasons with the Washington Commanders, where he racked up 40 catches for 536 yards and one touchdown in 15 games. He missed 19 games due to a variety of injuries.
Before joining the Commanders, Brown spent one season with the Houston Texans. There, he had 33 catches for a career-high 567 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games.
Brown began his professional career as a seventh-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys. He spent the first five years of his NFL career in Dallas, missing the 2019 season because of injury, growing his role every season and recording 82 catches for 980 yards and three touchdowns during the span.
Brown has struggled to find his footing in the NFL while battling injuries as of late, but if he can stay healthy, he may finally be able to establish a role for himself in Las Vegas.
He is joining a wide receiver room with a ton of unproven talents, including wide receivers Tre Tucker, Jalen Nailor, Malik Benson, Jack Bech, Dont'e Thornton Jr. and Dareke Young, among others.
A native of Flanders, New Jersey, Brown played college football at Ohio State, where he had 33 catches for 411 yards and seven touchdowns from 2014-16.
