With teams on their month-long break from mid-June to mid-July in between minicamp and training camp, we’ve reached the deadest point of the NFL offseason.
But fortunately for football fans, there’s just three weeks left before training camp kicks off, followed by the preseason and regular season, which starts the week of Sept. 7.
Until then, we’ve done training camp previews and analyzed the top position battle to watch for all 32 teams. Next up in our offseason series is looking at one rookie from every team who could win a starting job in training camp this season, and today we’re looking at the Seattle Seahawks
With Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker now in Kansas City, the Seahawks have a big opening at the top of their depth chart at running back.
Though 25-year-old Zach Charbonnet scored a career-high 12 touchdowns last season, some still question whether or not he can handle a RB1 workload. Charbonnet has never had more than 184 carries in any season, and he’s coming off a torn ACL suffered in the playoffs.
Seattle may take its time with getting him back into the lineup, which explains why the team grabbed Notre Dame star Jadarian Price to close out the first round of the 2026 draft.
Backing up third overall pick Jeremiyah Love, Price still managed to put up strong numbers. He rushed for 746 yards and seven scores two years ago, and he totaled 674 yards and 11 touchdowns last year. He averaged six yards per carry or more both years.
Price has fluid footwork, a high IQ, elite vision, and great instincts when it comes to evading tacklers and finding running lanes. The Seahawks need a strong running game to take pressure off QB Sam Darnold, and Price may be just the guy they need.
