Through the 49ers' 3-0 start to the year, Purdy completed 72.3% of his pass attempts for 789 yards, a league-leading nine touchdowns and just one interception. He's also accounted for an additional 93 yards and one more score on the ground.
In Sunday's Week 3 win over the Arizona Cardinals, Purdy threw for 297 yards and four touchdowns.
The NFL recognized Purdy's stellar play with an announcement on Thursday, naming him the NFC Offensive Player of the Month.
"Hit the Dougie one time," the 49ers wrote in response to the news.
Purdy's play has the 49ers poised with No. 1 position in the NFC West, leading the 2-1 Seattle Seahawks, 1-2 Los Angeles Rams and 1-2 Cardinals.
“Brock is amazing,” veteran linebacker Fred Warner said after Sunday's Week 3 win. “The offense is humming right now. It’s our job as a defense to make sure that we handle our business.”
Purdy and the 49ers will look to continue their positive momentum in Sunday's Week 4 matchup against the Denver Broncos.
